OK so I was wondering What immediate effects does a SATA Disk Drive give me? I was looking to get a Blu Ray Burner for my M17x-R2 then realized that they were SATA and that the only Sata BluBurner I could locate was a 4x one that's like 300-400 some dollars. I don't really want to pay that, and I kinda wish I could have used the non Sata 2x burners for like half that price. So Ultimately I gave up and settled for a Blu Reader, DVD burner, and I'll just have to use my m15x to burn Blu.

But it got me thinking that it's just a DISK I'm reading off of is the Speed difference really noticeable? And I don't burn enough Blu Rays to make it worth it. Buying HDD Space is far more efficient then burning onto disks.
