    Hi everyone..just a little question.

I have the icon of SLI in my taskbar (the 2 little green bars)

Are we supposed to be able to activate/deactivate SLI throught this icon?

I can toggle it with (fn)+F7, and also in the Nvidia Control Panel, but not when clicking the icon in the task bar...is this normal?

    Thx

Try right clicking that icon and see if it will let you switch modes.

But all the other ways work too (I prefer fn+f7 and just use that icon as a visual reference to maker sure if I am in performance or balanced mode)

No, you are unable to right click it to disable. Its just a visual indicator. Use FN+F7 (as you already noticed) and/or the Stealth Mode touch strip button.

You'll usually be able to switch from the dedicated graphics cards to the integrated 9400M and vice versa when you have Hybrid Graphics enabled in the BIOS using the icon with some driver revisions. With others, you'll have to use FN+F7 to switch between video cards (which should work any time, so it's actually the best variant).
For instructions on how to actually enable SLI on your dedicated video cards, see the SLI Guide.

It doesn't do anything, left or right click...When I put my mouse over it, it displays " hybrid technology bla bla, boost performance" and that's all. Maybe re-installing the Nvidia control panel?

    thx

Strange, I am sure I was able to switch between performance and balanced mode with that icon (looks like 2 wavy lines going to the right).
But since I only use fn+f7 (and not at my notebook right now) I can't double check.

edit.. plus this is on win7 (if that makes a difference)
