Definitely gonna get the M17x at some point but wondering what to do about SSD drives. Here are some of my options:

    1. 2x256gb from AW +$800. Apparently they are Samsung drives
    2. 2x120gb OCZ Vertex $375 each. Good performance on-par with Intel X-25M but more space
    3. 2x256gb Corsair CMFSSD $699(!!) each but sounds like the best drives out there

I don't really need a lot of space, but I do want solid performance. Do we know anything about the performance of the drives that AW offers? AW seems like a good deal; you get a lot of space but the mystery is the drive's overall performance.

Can anybody recommend any other SSDs?

    Lol?

Did u saw the samsung 256gb review?... If not better it's in the same level of the Vertex/X-25M (and IMO vertex is better than X-25M)

BTW... I think this corsair is a re-branded samsung :D

vertex is a little slower on reads but better on writes and the vertex is lot cheaper

so does anyone know the exact make and model of the Samsung SSD from AW?

wow, the new OCZ Summit sounds pretty good:
    120gb - $390
    Read: 220mb/s
    Write: 200mb/s
