    If I have a M17x with a Q9000 ...

May I please ask what is the safest and optimum speed of cpu to overclock to ???

Is it safe to overclock once and then leave it overclocked till the end of the life of the laptop ???

Is it safe to overclock the Q9000 for extend hours at 2.4 gig ???

    I don't have an M17x, but my Q9000 runs fine at 2.6-2.8GHz.

Leaving the CPU OC'd all of the time (or even most of the time) is unnecessary.

Why is it that W90 users get far higher Q9000 overclocks than anyone else? o.0

I keep mine set at 2.42 Ghz. Unless I'm switched over to stealth mode or in powersaving mode, then it steps down to 1.18, but I haven't had any issues with it so far.

The Asus NB is better and the Voltage it gets is better (quads no where near as much as dual's)

the t9900 hit 4.2 ghz on SetFSB alone
