Hello I purchased the ScanFast M18x backpack from dell to go with the laptop. The arm strap has frayed at the edge after afew weeks use, and continues to get worse. Will they replace it?

    What do you guys recommend?

I see no reason they can't. Call em up and ask for a replacement.

I would call them and ask. I had a Slappa backpack that had the same thing happen. I called them and they sent me a new one no questions asked. It shouldn't fray after a few weeks.

Aww man, i bought one of those myself and after a month it started to "decay" on the same spot as yours. The left arm strap up on the top corner started loosening up and got worse. I called dell and they said they would replace it.

After a few weeks problems with the delivery started, and i finaly got the replacement backpack after a month. They said i could keep the broken one. So i went to a tailor and he fixed it, now i have two backpacks :D. It seems these backpacks are bad quality sorry to say because i love em. You can fit all kinds of stuff in there :).

The Orion backpacks have lifetime warranty but i can't sat if that would be covered.
Best is to check with Dell about it.

No, unfortunately it hasn't been uploaded.

I have owned my Orion M18x backpack about a year and it has seen heavier that typical use due to extensive business travel. It shows no evidence of wear and the straps are still rock solid on mine.

The truth is this (although Orion backpacks are very nice; got one for M14x): if you want properly sturdy protection, get an alu suitcase. Canadian matias.ca (original AlienArmor suitcases were by them) or European Dicota manufacture very nice high quality suitcases offering outstanding protection.
