I have noticed, since I got my laptop, that my speakers are TERRIBLY screechy, and are unbearably terrible... Is this a common issue? I have seen the talk of popping sound, but i don't know if that is the same. FWIW I have one of the "post redesign" chassis m15xs or whatever you want to call them... Is there a new driver or something that could fix this?
    TIA

I've had this. You can fix it by turning on the equalizer and adjusting the settings. This should be in the Realtek HD Audio Manager located in your Control Panel.

I recommend getting some good headphones or a good external speaker system. Any Notebook speakers won't be good for an Audiophile.

the equalizer didnt help... as far as the audiophile statement.. duh, I just have what I would call an abnormal sound coming from my speakers.

I've the same problem with screechy speakers! But only from the right speaker so maybe a heat-related-issue ... don't know!

Is this something that has happened out of the box or has gotten progressively worse since you received it?

same problem here, just the right speaker screeching at maximum (75-100% of the volume slider) volume, otherwise it's okay. I'm plugged with headphones most of the times so this is not very an issue for me ...

I'm pretty sure that it is a hardware-related issue ... but I tried to install all the new drivers found but its the same with the new HD audio driver...

i noticed that if i push down on the silver plastic "lines" covering the speakers it fixes it (i think)... Is there a fix to screw something down better or is this just another example of an AWFUL build?
