I had a quick question, I'm looking into possibly picking up the M15x but was wondering how good the quality of the screen is?

The main reason for this question is that I ordered a Sager that "supposedly" had a bright-clear screen, but when I received it, it's actually really horrible.

Please give my your opinions on the screen. Thanks in advance.

i think the general consensus is that AW's screens (m15x and m17x in particular) are certainly "above-average". can't quantify that for ya though.

    i can....
i think the screen i have is more then above avg.
when i am using it, it feels as if i am using the 24" one i have at home.
its clear, and very sharp. i got the glossy larger footprint compared to the smaller glassy one, but that was preference.

I'm more partial to the glossy screens than the matte finishes, but I've been very pleased with the screen. Crisp, clear, and bright even when lowering the contrast in dark environments.

Doesn't the screen's clarity largely depend on it's resolution? Incidentally, does Alienware use fluorescent of LED's?
