My M9750 has the 17" WideUXGA 1920 x 1200 LCD (1200p) with Clearview Technology. It seems a bit washed out. Is this normal, or are my default settings ding it?

You need to go to the nVidia Control Panel and set the gamma, brightness, and contrast.
