I just ordered a M17x with a 128GB SSD drive. What I'm trying to decide on is a second HDD for installing movies and storage and may even install some apps on it. Its down to two drives
Newegg.com - Western Digital Scorpio Blue WD7500BPVT 750GB 5400 RPM 8MB Cache 2.5" SATA 3.0Gb/s Internal Notebook Hard Drive -Bare Drive
    or
    Newegg.com - Seagate Momentus 7200.4 ST9500420AS 500GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache 2.5" SATA 3.0Gb/s Internal Notebook Hard Drive -Bare Drive
My question, is giving up an extra 250gb worth the speed increase and would I notice a difference in the speeds considering its not my boot drive.
Its my first computer with an SSD drive, do they do better with a faster secondary drive?

It really depends on how much storage you need. Faster is always better in my books but I'd be a bit worried about 22% of 384 reviews for the 7200rpm drive being 1/5. From what I hear you would of been better off buying the 500gb HD with your M17x than buying an intel ssd cause I hear the Dell ssd's aren't as fast but I could be mistakin. But between those if it was me I probaby would never fill the 500gb so I would go for the extra speed, especially if you wanna put some apps on it, they'll load a bit faster.
