What drivers are you using? A few of them have been known to keep the slave card at full clocks after you've exited a game, which is probably whats happening to you.

Nono, it's stuck at full speed without even opening a game, and even if I have the discrete graphics cards turned off. I was running 186.64 (on Win7), and then tried 195.81 off NVIDIA's site. I had to replace the fan in my laptop because it was dead, and now this happens...I'm about to return this thing!

I'm just trying to balance the avatar's standard with Crylo ;)

@ no92stallion: As we are discussing in another thread, Dell will try to repair your system for at least 3 attempts so I doubt you can have it replaced now.

Oops! I have just read your post. Yeah you can return it now :)

I get used to that kinda compliment :D

Perhaps it's not the fan, if it's the third one. Maybe there is a temp sensor issue or motherboard problem that is sending constant power to the fan. Talk to dell about a motherboard replacement or something along those lines. I find it hard to believe 3 defective fans in a row. All they have is a few wires to give them power. Seems like very little could go wrong unless it's a bearing issue, which you shouldn't have if the fan is coming new. It should be dirt free. Even then it wouldn't be on all the time, just noisy

His first fan was just dead as an old man. Now the 3rd one is excited all the time and running fast. What a bad luck!
