I am going to Send my Dell M17x in for custom paint at www.smoothcreations.com in a couple of days. They have agreed to do custom paint on it.

I am getting American Eagle and Flag on it hahaha it's going to be so damn cool using my laptop during flights.

They said it will take 2 weeks to do so dang it why not lets do it.

I wonder if that affects the warranty in anyways. Let's imagine some paint blocks the cooling system or that company does a bad job and some fresh paint falls on the CPU heat sink etc...

Hum, it would be interesting to see what AW has to say about this.

Each to their own but it seems like a lot of money for something that you'll only see when the lids closed. Looking forward to pictures of the completed job

I asked them for a custom paint on micro atx case full alu. They said yes and ask me to wait for their team to think about the project...That was 3-4 months ago and still waiting. No answer no matter I asked for new info 3 or 5 times...
    Just be warned.

Yea I would definitely take it apart before sending to them. I would not trust them taking it apart and putting back together..
