    Serious Problem: a bright vertical green line in the middle of M17x FullHD LCD

    Hi everyone,

    Some of my friends and I who bought M17x found a very bright green vertical line in the middle of my M17x FullHD LCD while displaying some pictures contained green colour.

    I bought a M17x with a 1920x1200 LCD on 08/24, and while I was testing its screen with DisplayX, I found this serious bug. I called Dell and they sent a technician to replace my LCD with a new one yesterday afternoon.

    However, the bright line is still there after the replacement. The technician told me these kind of replacements (include whole-machine-replacement) won`t make things better and both of these LCDs were Samsung`s product. His opinion was that all these Samsung`s LCDs might not display certain green colour correctly. He can`t help me more but just insists that maybe a very big problem ever known so that some M17x may need to be call back soon.

    I recieved a call from Dell today and in it a man from Dell stuff told me I could ask for returned purchase for that serious bug. But I don`t want to choose this way, I just hope my M17x can be well and use it all along. So I am depressing and what should I do now? On the other hand, I don`t know if anyone here have experienced this problem as well.

    PS: If you display the picture in the attachment with your M17x FullHD LCD on the resolution of 1280x800, you will find the bright vertical narrow green line in the middle of LCD very easily. On the other hand, you can also run a test software called DisplayX to see this dammit line is ture.

    i have never noticed it

    if it doesnt show in my game or day to day life then i could care less what shows up @ 1280 res ...because i never use it :p

    I just snap this picture with this resolution for uploading.

    You can also find it easily with DisplayX in 1920x1200

    Cause Dell has said certain green colour cannot be displayed correctly...

    Perhaps im cross-eyed but I just tried that test on 1200*800 and 1900*1200 but I cannot find a bright vertical green line for the life of me.

    the lg used in the 1730 had a very similar issue... it prob the panels themselves i hate to say if more than one showed the same thing for you
