    Hello everyone,

I have several questions regarding my alienware m15x.

I purchased mines from a guy on Craigslist because it was listed a very good price. The machines works perfectly fine, no problems at all. But here are my questions.

    1. Is it possible to purchase a after market video card not directly from AW. The laptop video card is 8700m gt, but I would like to upgrade it to a 9800m Gt. However, I cant not find them on the internet now where

    2. Is possible to tighten the hinges on the screen?

    Thanks everyone in advance.

    Actually more question,

So I purchased a smart bay hard drive enclosure on EBay, but there seems to be a adapter conflict. Can anyone tell that has a smartbay drive case if there is an additional adapter beside the case itself?

If you purchased the Smartbay on Ebay from the link I had posted a while back, it has the wrong connector. Contact the seller and explain to them it is the wrong connector and they will refund your money when you send the item bck to them. Unfortunetly they do not have any in stock with the correct connector. I hope this helps. God Bless :)

IS the nVidia Quadro FX 3600M 512MB Video Card a good card for gaming? I want to make my system future proof and play my games on high. Also, is there anyway to purchase laptop components from AW without having bout the laptop from them. Every time I call they give me the shaft about it. "You must have a AW account with the laptop registered to your name if you want to buy any parts."

I thought there were different Smart Bays for optical, hdd, and battery. I contacted that seller also because I was looking for one to add a blu-ray player to, but he said it was for a hdd.

Hope you hear from him soon and get the issue resolved.

    Whizzo,
GOTDAMN, these prices are through the roof. Guess I'll be sticking with this 8700gt until the end of time.... Thanks for posting.

Atcually does anyone know where I could possibly find the smartbay bettery?
And does anyone know why the when I turn on bluetooth it deactivates my touchpad? Its pretty annoying. I teather my Treo via bluetooth so I can surf the net on the go, but the touch shutsdown.
