on my G4 Powerbook there is an option for it to act like a wireless router and share my wired connection (helpful for the gf to use her laptop in the same room). Was wondering if the M17 had the same option or if it was mac only.

P/s: I was wrong -
Hmm there are some posts about vista users doing it, but no explanation how.

You can kind of set up an ad-hoc wireless connection to another computer, but I think you can only connect one computer.

Yea, thats all I want to do. So my girlfriend can connect to a wireless network. Either that or I have to buy a wireless router for my small dorm room.

Vista has an internet connection sharing. Looking up right now what it does.

BOOM BABY! Its definitetly not a mac only feature, and actually Vista allows more options. -

I believe that if the m17 is wired to the modem and you click on the start menu and select connect to and set up a new ad hoc network you can create a new wireless network and towards the end it ask you if you would like to share internet connection. I apologize if I wasn't all that clear I'm in a hurry...
