Just received another new system from Dell as a replacement to a completely defective m17x. This new system has fan issues with the left fan (grinding when revving up; slight humming/grinding when playing games). Technical support is coming to replace the fan. What should I look out for?

More importantly, what would you do in my situation? Suck it up or ask for another replacement? I know this isn't a huge issue, but having big or small manufacturer defects in the first 3-4 days of use is disheartening. Thanks.

Just let the tech replace the fan. It's a fan issue and easily fixed. No reason to ask for another system and maybe getting something with more issues. Fan issues are common since it's just a small defect with the motor or blades. Easily fixed, don't trouble yourself more then you have to.

As Villosa mentioned, let them replace the fans. Its a simple swapout and a tear down is not required.
