That sure is a mess of desktops, laptops and screens! Looks like you need three desks to set them up properly, lol.

My laptop Desk is a mess like a plane crash almost everyday..... Too much stuff on a small desk.... :(

Finally got a chance to cleaning it a little bit during my days off work. Much better to look without all the cable stuff around..... :D

A lot in a compact space there, did you move the main display up a tad too or is that just perspective?

    sure it counts! :)

i like both, and it s true that a black desk could be better, but this is true for all the Alienware setups! (as white desk for apple setups!) :)

You're right, all of the Alienware Laptop series below the the 2013 model much better looking on the dark background..... I took your advice and just ordering some custom size for replacing this desk for the longer one, off course it will paint in black :D My plan is to put my laptop setup between two of my gigantic figure just like in the second pic. I love the MGS franchise so much and love to see both of this figure guarding my gaming area in the middle :D The problem is the size of the RAY which cost too much space so I need to increase the length of the table. It will be perfect if the new title The Phantom Pain will be released for PC platform also.... :D

My main screen is Smart TV 32". So you can guess how big both of the figure is.....

Your guess is right, that's the main display..... :D

You can Pre Ordered it since December last year. Maybe you can find it on retail shop near your place, but I assume it will cost higher than the pre order price. Pre order price is around $490 if I'm not mistaken.....

Can't argue with the price..... :( Yes, it cost arms and legs...... But just remember some friend of mine who regret not to pre order REX a couple years back because of the price. Now the unit is very rare, and even he found some people who intend to sell it, the price is so unreasonable..... :(

Are they just something for fans of Metal Gear to look at like a model car or model airplane, or do they actually offer some sort of functionality?

Other than for good looking stuff, No. No USB hub or anything functional :D Manufacturing kind of Stuff like this is only aiming for collector, that's why sometimes it's limited item and only enter production based on Pre Order only. But for Hardcore fans or some decent collector, hunting rare stuff have it's kind of pleasure for their own, even sometimes they need to flat their pocket along the way.

For some people, it's way better for spent that sum of money for a decent graphic card..... :D

I wouldn't spend more then $50 for any model like that... For me, I rather spend $490 on a new GPU...

Not wanting to sounds rude, but I think you meant aimed at a 'sucker' instead of 'collector' at almost $500 for a bit of crap plastic that does nothing other than gather dust. You've been had, fella. If it costs 'arms and legs' to own one, I'd rather not be a quadriplegic........but if it makes you happy, who am I to argue......

No offence taken mate..... :D already get used for that kind of opinion from the people around me, including my family also. But since I have it by earning money each month by working hard by myself, I didn't give much concern about it too much. Every people have their own way for enjoying life. Maybe there's only people with the same hobbies can understand...... :D

If you put it like this, why spend $2000-$3000 for portable gaming laptop ? If you like portability and gaming, you can have a nice next gen console for only $399-$499 ?? or if you pursuit a good looking graphic looks, you can build a PC with more power than your laptop with the same amount of price. Why Alienware ? while the other brand give you the same power with more less price ? Why not spent it for buying cars or anything else.....?? :D There will always be question like this arise from people around us and maybe we will be have a hard time answering all of that. But if you find some people who doing stuff exactly like you do, That's the moment when the fun things start.... :D

It really is for the owner to decide if they got value for money. If it makes you happy and you earned the money, who is to judge? Just look at how much paintings go for and even prints of paintings.

    Nhirlathothep that's a very coordinated setup :)
