    Skullcap hinge nearly broken!

    Well, I don't know of any skullcap hinge breakages. But I've been noticing it for a while, but it's getting really bad. I phoned up alienware, in 20mins I have the DHL number to use and It's all getting ready to go. 20 minutes! The CS was really good. Now I just have to backup everything to send it back.

    sorry to hear this. there was one case that i remember of a skull cap issue like yours. this would then make two.
    but on a side note...it looks as if yours took a hit there....(the chipped part of the unit). not saying it did, but that was my first impression...

    i am glad the process was smooth, and hope the remiander is as well...keep us posted.

    It hasn't been hit, that's what I'm afraid of - that they'll make me pay for the repair. It cracked there, and then it turned into a whole - and thats when I got worried. The camera and the flash does over emphasise the crack.
    They shouldn't refuse to do it under warranty should they?

    But the guy on the phone said that it will take about 10 days exluding transport.

    I prefer someone telling me honestly that it will take 15days rather than playing with words and telling 2 more days everyday I call.
