Hi All
Just wondering, my network card says it is 10/100/1000 Mbps adaptor.
Does this mean i have a gigabit network card?
When I transfer files to my nas it only goes at 8-9megs per second...does the network cable need to be a gigabit cable or something?
cheers

You have a Gigabit Network card i assume. You probably need a Gigabit Cable to transfer at the Gigabit rate.

hmm actually
i think the adapter name is 10/100/1000 nvidia
but when i go through the speed options 100 is max...
does everyone else have a 100mbps network card on their m17x?
edit: noob mistake, my modem is only 100mbps ...lol -
I swapped out all my Cat5 cable with Cat6.
Wireless connection on my M17x went from 100mb/s to 300Mb/s
Wired connection on my M17x went from 100mb/s to 1000Mb/s
Is my internet experience improved 3 to 10 fold? Nah. -
Cat5e and Cat6 are rated for gigabit speeds. Also, make sure that your router and/or switches are also gigabit as well. If they are just 10/100 then 100 is as fast as you can go.
Slow network card?
