    hey guys and gals.

i am just about to buy a new 500GB HDD for my m15x to use as the system drive, as i've fillled up my current drive with music (140GB so far) so need extra room as the system is starting to suffer (90% full) . what i am wondering is, would the current (installed) drive be suitable to use as a smartbay HDD if i got hold of an empty smartbay case? i have a 200GB system drive currently.

    thanks in advance

the smart bay case is just a shell/enclosure, any drive should work as long as it has the same interface (sata/ide)

at least that is my understanding
