Few days back I saw a thread about poor shipping of SmaryBay battery and HDD. I just received mine and I am very impressed with the packaging.

It was delivered in FedEx Medium Box full of packing bubble sheets and thermocol cubes. And I captured some snaps of it while opening... as I could not open my m15x :(

Even the SmartBay battery got a touch sensitive indicator, while I am not very happy it being developed in china, so not sure about battery life.

I tried putting HDD Cage in the slot but it does not fix and I not tried applying much pressure as I do not have a second HDD yet. Keeping that for sometime later.

Oh... Have I told you that it cost me quite a lot being international delivery. I end up paying $151 for Cage and Battery (including $60 for shipping) + I paid $68 for custom duty :(... approx $200 for a battery and cage

    Now pictures.... :)

You drove me crazy as I had to look at Websters to find the meaning of "batter" then I realized oh familiar m15x keyboard :D

battery is somewhat $70 I guess...

    they charged me $151 for

    [Item:SHIPPING/HANDLING, Qty:1]
    [Item:M15X ADDITIONAL 6 CELL SMARTBAY BATTERY SILVER-PNT, Qty:1]
    [Item:M15X SMARTBAY ADDITIONAL HDD KIT-SILVER-PNT, Qty:1]

I know that S&H was $60 and Cage was $18

I would do a full review sometime later this week as it's been long 2 months and it was great experience. I love this battery I thought it will give me another 60mins... still OK with me but this guy gave me more than 120mins and still 10% alive (I am talking about the smart bay battery only) After 120mins passed my main battery is still 99% charged, so another 120 minutes to go and that too with high-performance settings, external graphics and stealth mode off.

amazing for a laptop to give 4 hours of backup in high performance, I am hoping it should give me 6-7 hours in stealth mode and integrated graphics... didnt had that much time to test.

I said undervolt. :p I suppose you can underclock it too to save power, but eh, haven't really tried it yet.

But yeah, Napbree, refer to this if you want to learn how to undervolt:

While plugged in, it charges the primary battery first then the SB battery.

I actually read somewhere that undervolting does not void the warranty. I'll try to find where.

Napbree, do it at your own discretion. If you do not want to risk voiding your warranty, I would not suggest doing it at all. If you really want to do it though, I suppose it doesn't hurt to ask one of the Alienware representatives about this.
