    and I am completely happy with the system no problems whatsoever. Now on to some questions;

    1. Is it normal for the alien head and power button to stay lit up when connected to ac while system is off?

    2. I received my SBHD but when I insert it I don't see my drive in my computer. Can someone tell me how to set this up again. (been a while)

    3. When the stealth button is lit up thats means its in stealth mode right?

Once again alot of the problems people complain about is not in my system or noticeable at all. Only thing I notice was a little screen wobble/creaking not bad at all though.

In the interest of being accurate, "lit up" is a pretty subjective term. the button "lights up" regardless when power is activated on the system (unless the AlienFX isn't working... it's happened to me). However, there is a difference in light intensity. if by "lit up" you mean, brighter than, say, the button next to it (alien ship for command center), then yes, absolutely iElSayed is 100% correct.

but if by "lit up" you mean, any light at all, then no, it doesn't necessarily mean it's on.

anyways, at this point I think everyone understands what I'm getting at here...

if the computer is on, the button will be lit, but it will be brighter when on (same with Wifi and BT... and the Command center, between the time you push it, and the time the CC starts... more or less)

I meant brighter, but iElsayed knew what I meant. One more question now.

Is it just me or has anyone else turned on there m15x by holding down the left n right mouse buttons on the touchpad?

Yes, I can turn it on like that :p

I think this might be because if the alien head screws up in some way - atleast there's another way to turn on the system..

never knew that, just tried it and it switched from the 8800 to integrated. Can any one else support that starting via mouse pad will switch GPU?

Yes, when holding the left mouse button while the system is off it will turn on with the integrated graphics and launch media center. When it is already on then it only launches it. There is a patch to disable it if it annoys you :)

ya i just figured that, when I use the mouse buttons to turn on the system I am automatically put into integrated graphics. I think thats a pretty cool feature. Now no need to hit FN+f7 to get into integrated and restarting.

Congratulations, N1kkon. Don't forget that we're here for any questions you may have. :)

Yeah, I agree about the mouse button feature. Saves the user from wasting battery on starting up twice. The battery life on this laptop is so beast.

    Omg that's awesome. Handy trick!

I've been using that method to turn my laptop on for some reason - and I was wondering why it wasn't changing back to the 8800gtx haha. And before I hibernated and turned it on via the mouse buttons - and it corrupted it so that's why.

Thanks for the heads up - nice find!
