    So out of stupidity and impatience, I inserted my mem card into the expansion slot... now it's disappeared into the m17x

    And the freaking hole had to sit right next the memory card slot.... next thing I know... my SD memory card has disappeared into that card bus expansion slot when I was in a rush to download my photos without looking for the proper hole.....

    Hopefully this lesson will teach anyone something....


    Now I have to figure out how to get that little piece of ..... outta my m17x
    sigh....

    Ouch! Well....I would try a blast of compressed air and see if the pressure will move it out....

    Just turn it on the side and shake it abit ? should fall right out unless it slid inside the case it self . If it did then it still should not be to hard to get out of there .

    I tired using tweezers, but my damn idea just shoved it up deeper...

    Now shaking it doesn't even help even..... can barely do a shake with 5.5 kg while tilting it...


    gonna build me some makeshift hook with some safety pins

    Make sure you remove the battery before sticking anything metal into the slot.

    Before trying that, prop open the slit cover, and on one side of the slot, stick in the little straw attached to the compressed air can, and send in a blast of compressed air. The airflow should be strong enough and the card light enough to be forced out, even if the M17x is flat. Less risky than sticking pieces of metal in the slot....

    I have an idea!

    Double sided tape.

    Cut an old/unused credit card or something alike in half.

    Double sided tape one side towards the end,

    Try stick it and pull it out :)

    Im stupid, let me know if this idea is just too lol.
