I just brought an m15x lappy on ebay and it has been restored. Can someone tell me what software is needed? The keyboard does not light up but everything else does.

This is the NBR's mini MyHive. I'm assuming the seller didn't give you any information in regards to logging into his MyHive account on Alienware?
EDIT: Also, if the laptop came restored with Command Center installed, the seller may of forgot to make a new theme to get the keyboard to light up. The default theme after an installation doesn't include the field to change Keyboard colors. Just go to File> New Theme and the new theme should have the field so long as the keyboard isn't the non-illuminated version. -
It did not come with that. All that is restored is the operating system.

did you buy the one that was on sale saturday??
-
Not all of them have light-up keyboards. Was it listed as having that feature?
-
No. But it still had the command center on it. He said the only things you can change color to was the alien head, the side of the screen, alienware name, and the mouse pad. should i just download one of the bundles from this website and if yes which one?
-
lol was it the rip off one
-
It was. I got it for a good price though. I figured i could add the light-up keyboard later.

Im getting all the software for my m15x on it, and about the system BIOS. Do i install all three of them?
-
The best time to buy something from someone is when they have no idea what they have. If you don't mind me asking, what did you pay for it?
-
I paid 900 total.
-
specs?
-
Shock and awe, friends.
Shock and awe.
And yes. Specs, please. And even if it's minimum....shock and awe. -
This what i saw on the ebay listing: 2.1GHz,8600M GT 256MB,160GB 7200 RPM HD,2GB RAM,1920 x 1200 LCD (1200p). Is there way to find out when it was manufactured and see a more in depth specs?
