what softwares does m17x come with
does it come with any kinds of recovery disk?
Also when you are receiving the product, do you need any kinds of ID to prove yourself? or not?

comes with whatever software you ordered, no bloatware.
if your order it, it comes with alienware respawn cd eitherway there is a partition that has teh respawn information.
no you need no id, someone just has to be there to sign for it.

Comes with CyberLink PowerDVD 8, Cyberlink YouCam, Alienware Command Center, and a version of Nero 9. It comes with a Resource DVD that contains the drivers and software that came preinstalled. It also has a Windows Vista reinstallation disc. There is a recovery partition on the hard drive that can restore your installation to the factory image.

When FedEx delivered mine, they didn't require an ID. In fact, I thought I was going to be gone, so I left a signed sheet of paper saying to leave it on the porch (they called at 7 am that morning and asked if I would be there and if not said I could leave the signature) and they just took that and didn't even ring the doorbell.

Well I wouldn't normally, but my house is quite a bit off the road and you can't really see the porch from the street, so I wasn't real worried about it.

... I have a gate, IP camera, man eating dogs, fedexguy lives 3 houses over.... I think in my case i would be ok...
My FedEx guy knows me by my first name, I know him, his work fan (well doh!), his wife's car and his off work car. My dog knows how's he taste (yeah) he thought that "beware of the dog" was not for him and since a 4 year old kid was ridding the dog like a pony he could just walk into the pedestrian gate w/o buzzing ...never again through...

surely if you are brave/stupid enough you can take my new toy, but I will have it on camera and sell it on internet "a dumb @$$ getting chewed by dogs" :), raise enough money to bu myself and my fedex guy a M17x (the fedex guy is a cool dude)
    :)

so note/no note.... depense where you live

oh yeah it is a software thread...
so if i ordered respawn dvd, do i get the same stuff as respawn partition?

    lol nice...

Yes, the Respawn DVD lets you do the same thing as the Respawn partition, so if your hard drive crashes you can restore the image anyway.

Is it easy to make your own respawn dvd from the partition? This would be the most appealing option to me.
