    There was an old M17x? I thought this product was released in June 09..... why would they eliminate that feature? :rolleyes:

    Yeah this is the second generation notebook using that name. Totally new design and it's officially a Dell Alienware product.

    The Smartbay was eliminated because you cant squeeze an entire ODD through a slot-load opening. :D

    You can get a G2 160GB Intel SSD for about $450, and it blows everything else out of the water. Installing an HDD is a piece of cake.
