So here's my problem... My m9700 won't even boot up anymore! It's getting power from the AC Adapter, and I have windows XP installed on it... Does ANYONE know of ANY way I can call Alienware and send it back to them even if I'm not the original owner? I'm willing to pay to have it fixed and factory re-certified... but the people at customer service are really grumpy when you aren't the original owner! SOMEONE PLEASE HELP! THANKS IN ADVANCE!!

I had a similar machine which would overheat severely after 1-2 years of usage.. After opening the case and removing a small fluff-brick, the problem was solved.

It was caused by a design flaw that basically blocked up the vents after a while with a small carpet-worth of dust and fluff! maybe that's the case with your machine, although you haven't given enough info to be sure.

Does it switch on and pass BIOS then not complete boot-sequence? Or what? :)
