follow my guide except put the alienware bios on the stick instead of the clevo one. reboot and flash it.. really pretty simple

even easier imo just to burn the iso to a cd as a bootable disc then reboot with it..

use the tools in my guide. use the hp utility to format and make bootable. you need the dos files i have linked to add in when you make the usb bootable. then simply copy the bios to the stick after you extract the files

You can use USB , dont waste your CD

    Here is how....

    1) Get UltraISO or MagicISO

    2) Open the BIOS ISO with them and Save the Boot Information Boot Information->Save Boot File

    3) Download WinIMAGE to open this Boot Image File and Extract its contents to some folder

    4) Download HP Drive Key from Here

    5) Run it to format your USB with it, filesystem should be FAT and select quick format, Create a dos startup disk

    6) Select option "using dos system files located at" and browse to location where you extracted the files from floppy image

    7) Now once done, copy all the files over to USB and do not replace the existing files.

    8) Boot from the USB now... :)

Another option... I am keeping the above option for generic purpose how to boot from USB. To avoid downloading all these tools and going through lots of steps... here is a simple option which I created for you.

    1) Download this file, BIOS.rar (Note: This is x36 BIOS)

    2) Extract its contents to some folder

    3) Run HPUSBFW.exe from extracted files

    4) Format your USB with it, filesystem should be FAT and select quick format, Create a dos startup disk

    5) Select option "using dos system files located at" and browse to location where you extracted the files from floppy image

    6) Now once done, copy all the files over to USB and do not replace the existing files.

    7) Boot from the USB now... :)

seems like an aweful waste, especially since you can use a USB stick...

Yes, you can... but you again need a utility! Dvd Decryptor is my personal favorite for this job

hi bud i think all you do is first format your usb stick i think with bootable option ticked then you will have an image that you would put onto the cd.... all you do is copy paste this to the usb stick, then when this is done turn off your pc and goto cmos esc f2 or something like that and choose the usb stick as your first boot device. then with usb stick in turn pc/laptop on and away you go.....

note i maybe wrong but its something like that..... gimmie a while and ill check.

also you have to make sure your bios sees your usb flash stick. put stick in and goto cmos and see if it sees your usb flash or it wont work anyway.

and again i might be wrong in the method ( http://www.bootdisk.com/pendrive.htm) read this this tells you how to do it.

    and this one ( http://www.csd.dficlub.org/forum/showthread.php?t=1136)
