Just noticed something rather interesting. In a previous thread I noticed that my WEI HDD was 6.1, and I took a ATTO snapshot .

well, today I'm on a Fresh Win 7 install with the latest Intel RAID RST drivers for the PM55 (installed via F6 during windows install)

and now I'm back down to a 5.9 in the WEI, however, the most interesting thing is the ATTO performance.

Old orginal W7 install on the left(0% frag), New fresh RAID on the right(3% frag).

Baiscly, max read is down a lot, but small read has taken a rocket ship through the solar system.

The single ATTO is my 32mb 7200RPM WD 1TB HDD for reference.

using the old DELL RST drivers (which are the old 8.9 drivers) netted 5.9 results, so I didn't bother to ATTO on those drivers. Most know that 4K performance is what matters the most, and a 430% increase in 4K by simply doing a fresh install is a *huge* jump in performance for doing essentially nothing. So if you're on the Initial W7 install of windows, and have RAID 0 drives, I'd appreciate an ATTO snapshot to see if my poor results were repeateable.
