ok so i put the same specs in for the normal m17x and the the "Special Edition" one but the "Special Edition" one came out for 100 dollars less , but yet the Special Edition one starts at a higher starting price. so can someone tell me why the Special Edition one is cheaper and how.

    thanks alot

I bought the red just because of that. It looks pretty good too.

I guess if someone doesn't want red it could be an issue. They could always order the call to change it afterward I guess.

doubt it. Tell them it was a mistake and if they don't change it tell them you want to cancel. I'm sure they'll do it.

Not sure I agree. There are 2 options to configure the M17x, one of which is the Special Edition. If you used that, I don't think they'll believe it was a mistake. I'm conflicted about that as well, I want the silver but the 100$ less for red... is appealing.

I don't know your tech level but the black and silver can be purchased afterward and swapped whenever you feel like it. The red you cannot buy afterward.

The nebula red version has an Sli configuration by default. $1999 ($200 more)

The other one adds the red color's price + Sli ($99 + $300).

Other prices are the same. So the red one "saves" $199 over the other ones.

I had a silver one, sold it and upgraded my spec and ordered red and all I can say is WOW! The red really is awesome! Much more loud then the silver...there is no blending in, you will stand out! It is a really nice rich and metallic colored red dare I say kind of burgandy?...Looks great in my living room on the coffee tbl next to the black leather sectional with red throw pillows (wife said it can stay because it matches! LOL)

I was thinking along those same lines. it cant be that much of a special edition if anyone can order one. I guess its our privilege to spend the extra $100 to have one :p
