Ok, yes i have searched and read the OC posts in relation to the x9100. If you have an M17, with a p8400 or 8600... I know you can overclock utilizing setfsb.
With this in mind.. would you replace the original ram 2 gig pc8500 ddr3 1066 with 2 or 4 gig ddr3 1333 mhz ram? I know increasing the FSB causes stress on ram and everything else. It might be worth it thought to get a couple hundred extra mhz for the price of the ram.
What are your thoughts or experience? (Disclaimer, yes I know it is better to buy the faster ecu from the get-go)
Thanks!

If you plan on overclocking the FSB then yes it might be worth getting the 1333 RAM, however I personally don't see an advantage as it's often the CPU that holds back max OC not FSB.

Are you allowed to specifically control the memory speed with setfsb or is it linked?
-
You just change the fsb... No other options so it oc's with it

Then there's a possibility that if stevenxowens792 buys 1333 memory the OC capabilities may be worse. If they are linked right now at 1:2 it's probably better. Wouldn't know for sure until it's tested but he would be changing his systems memory divider.
