Speculation... any deals coming up? Any recent coupons that work?

When I bought my m15x when they first came out several years ago, I got a student discount which I think was 5%.

Later, when I bought my m17x.. I found a 20% coupon at the perfect time - right after I paid for it, lol! Luckily, I was able to get it worked out and I got a good deal on it anyways.

I've been requesting forever that we have a sticky for current coupons and/or deals. For some reason, I just cannot find ANYthing recent. I can still use the 5% student discount which surely helps of course... but if I can find a better coupon - obviously, I'd like to try that IF I spring for the m18x. I've been having some horrible luck and even more horrible customer service experiences so whether or not I even buy another AW is well... I just don't know. Regardless, for what I need the machine to do and the money I have available... I can afford the machine, but not the warranty so I need to find a significant coupon or deal to drop the price so I can afford the extended warranty.

Some will say just buy the warranty later... not an option and anyone who has ever actually tried that and thought it was a good idea surely found that they were sadly mistaken when they called to renew the warranty. First off, you're not guaranteed to be able to extend your warranty even if your machine hasn't reached the 1yr basic warranty yet. Secondly, they fail to tell you that it's significantly cheaper to buy it with the machine. If you buy it after those initial 21 days are up (once you can't threaten to return it), then you will pay ungodly amounts. My salesman told me that it would be more expensive but not bad enough to hurt the wallet... idiot. If I'd have purchased the 4yr advanced warranty when I bought the machine - it'd have been $400. When I called to extend it two months later to the 4yr advanced warranty the price shot up to just over $900.

So... I need to find a good deal and/or coupon. Obviously, I will call it in and try to get the salesman to work with me on it and remind them of the shady stuff I went through before - hopefully that helps. I'd still like a plan B.

    Any suggestions?

I used the below coupon code a few days ago to buy my alienware m18x. While it's not a huge amount, $50 off never hurts:

    Coupon Code: 02CXKKH5Q9RMMZ

For outlet coupons just sign up for their twitter updates. I always know when new coupons come up for the outlet as I just follow Dell outlet on twitter.

Works perfect to get systems quick before stock gets depleted.

I am not sure if this will "stack" with the earlier code that was posted here but you may get lucky.

Also, Dell has a Gift card special offer going. I intend to buy the Orion bag so I will use the free $50 on the bag and the $300 card on the new laptop. ***Please be aware that you CANNOT combine the eGift card and the $50 Promo gift card on a single purchase and you CANNOT combine multiple $50 Promo cards for a single purchase.***
