    The nebula red is to flashy for me personally. I like the sleek look of the stealth black and its great for not attracting attention with the lights off. :)

    Having owned a black m14x and now a red m17x..here are my thoughts ...well with a black you can easily camouflage it by turning the lights off and no one notices ....with the red you are thr to grab attention and it does that really well and the good thing is the red isn't bright at all ...but still looks amazing ....I prefer the red to the black for now :)

    I have thought about getting a red one before, but being the wierd person I am, I just think a red computer would limit the leds to a few colors or it may look funny.... everything goes with black, but not everything goes with red.

    Also, I like all my computers to match, so with the exception of my wifes white m11x, all of my aliens are black with blue/red lights (white for power/wifi lights)

    Probably would go with black given what's available but I would go for metallic blue with black and silver accents, orange with black trim, or white with black trim in a heartbeat. Kind of makes me wonder why AW doesn't have a custom paint option. Tack on an extra 75-100 bucks or so for the ability to really personalize your computer.

    Red was a must for me. I bought this strictly as a gaming computer, so I guess I wanted something that stood out. Black looks good, but I'm more impressed with red in person than I was looking at it in pictures and definitely no regrets.

    Black just goes so well with any color... including with a little black dress. =)
    I agree that the red just seems too flashy on top of the lights, and the black lets you light it up like a dance club or go kind of under the radar if the lights are off. Black can be casual and fun and also formal.

    I too wish there were other colors available though. I like the gunmetal idea, and blue and green are a couple of my favorite colors too. And how about an X-Ray Pearl or something, with a luminescent sheen? Red though is really my least favorite color - too activating in a stressful way for me.

    This thread brings to mind those here who have posted threads on color modding the bodies of their machines. Some nice work. :)

    I really enjoy a nice black on a laptop, particularly if it is not reflective. Reminds me of the batmobile, B2 bombers.. lots of fast and powerful machines come in black!

    I voted red. In my mind I feel that red will dissipate heat better than black. I doubt it does, but hey you never know.

    I love the black colour of the m18xR2. My m17xR3 is red and I found the black looking much better. Plus, if you have a business meeting and you are using a red laptop, kind of stands out of the place and you do not look that 'professional'. I believe Red is more like a 'toy' and girly looking. Sorry if I offended anyone. Black is all go for me...

    Not going to lie. Everytime time I saw nebula red in a video I said, "That looks freaking awful". It looked extremely bright and pink on every single video I looked at. I was all set to get a stealth black m17x, but my girlfriend managed to order and receive her nebula red m14x before I ordered and it completely changed my mind. Nebula Red looks *amazing* in person. Its very muted, dark and low profile as opposed to the extremely bright red I thought it would end up being. Needless to say I ended up ordering a nebula red m17x.

    I really wish I could have gotten Lunar Silver. I saw one in person once....what a beauty.

    Razer mouse with green lighting + black AW laptop with all led's set to green is unbeatable.

    Red, green, and black is not a good combination.

    Depends on the system, they have different finishes. Definitely nebula red on the m18x. And probably stealth black on the m17x, maybe red, not sure - same for the m14x. The aluminum nebula red looks amazing.
