    Hello,

I have very strange problem. When I received laptop the Stealth Mode button didn't working. I update Command Center to newest, reinstall OSD and update Bios to v41, that multimedia BIOS.

Who's know other fixes for that problem?

    Cheers,
    Largo

    Hello,

So x34 is badly? As I read topic about x36 BIOS I rather don't want to install it.

x34 has some issues, yeah. then again, so does x36, so x32 might be your best bet.

ah, that could be the source. Vista, your operating system, has lots of issues with sleep mode (closing the laptop's lid, which shuts down the laptop's operations to a bare minimum) and hibernation (which copies the content of your RAM to your hard drive and shuts the laptop off, but leaves you the option to almost instantly turn it on again to it's previous state).

try shutting your laptop down completely, then turning it back on. then check if the touch controls are working or not.

PS: it could also be that you're just not pressing the button properly. apply your finger firmly, and hold it on the button for a few seconds.

Nope, that doesn't work... So I should wait for fix from M$? My friend have the same m15x like I, x34 BIOS and Vista Ultimate and for him waiting, thats strange.

So if I am reading it correctly you are facing this problem if only you resume from Sleep mode or Hibernation and not otherwise, right?

Try this KB Article, Vista has some known issues with Sleep & Hibernation and seen more frequently on Mobile Systems. Click on the link on top of the page to Download the Fix for it and see if that resolves your problem. Whizzo and others might also want to try this fix those who are not able to resume from sleep. Their are workarounds also available in this document which also might want to try.

ahhh... and you have m15x for quite some time... :)
it lets you extend your battery life by downclocking the CPU and GPU in positive way. My CPU comes down to 1.5ghz from 2.5, and GPU is as good as integrated. Running your system on stealth mode can give you approx extra one hour of battery life.

To enable/disable this you need to press the "Speedometer" button on your touch controls. This is the first button from right on touch controls.

I try to update myBIOS x34 with that from forum :) All is pass and done. But now is something change. Is on Yours m15x still light CC? Before update that light on when I press on it, but now this is still light on and when I touch that tha never off? Is this normal?

But Stealth Mode still doesn't work. I try with other BIOS.

CC light does not goes off the next time you press it. This is how it happens, you press CC icon which turns the light on and launch the CC. When you close CC it will send the command to hardware to switch off the light. so if due to some reason CC cannot communicate with hardware or if you have not closed it the light will stay on. that is normal. you can relaunch CC and close it to turn off the lights...

So you do not see any change in lights with Stealth mode off/on?
