    Hello everyone!
This is my first laptop, as well as my first OS switch (I got that student $30 download offer), and I'm frankly a bit of a noob. I am aware of drivers, bios, etc. Oh... and I am also updating from Vista 64bit Premium to Win7 64bit Professional.
But what steps should I specifically/sequentially take when I update my M17X to Windows 7 tomorrow. What should i download, and in what order should they be installed, and should anything on my system be specifically deleted, and if so, when?
Thank you SO MUCH in advance, i'd be a complete loss without you guys. Commandcenter, SLI, etc.... it can get really complicated for me!
    :)

I would suggest doing the upgrade to Windows 7 first. When upgrading, there will be a compatibility list of programs that will not work with Windows 7. You would have to uninstall them first before it let you do the upgrade. Once you upgraded to Windows 7, I know of two update that you need. THe Command Center , the Respawn patch...and something else that I might not know. :). Have fun.

I'm upgrading my m17x to Windows 7 Ult. as I am typing this(On my VGN-FZ260E).

Well for me it'll be a clean install.
Install OS - Chipset - then whatever way i can be bothered to install the rest of the devices after that :)
