Great video, I liked it.
Those are some fantastic graphics indeed.
-
I never got around to making gameplay videos. The only way I can do it is with a 60 FPS camera, or rather that's the best way, but of course the video will be very large.
-
what about GameCam?
-
I like FRAPS myself. I tend not to use the FPS portion of it, and just use it for video capture.
-
Recording yourself playing the game with FRAPS is not a real show of the FPS, it makes things worse. I said 60 FPS -CAMERA-.
-
actually When I was recording using Fraps I saw no decrease in game performance, there was no lag or any other kind of problem.
I think that people say Fraps drops down the quality of the game and makes it lag is because they use the same hard drive to record the video. I mean if you installed the game that you are playing on C: drive, and you are also recording Fraps video on C: drive, then it will definitional make your game lag. because you are trying to read and write files at the same time, and those files are huge. (4 minutes of Fraps recording results in over 3gb file size)
I use external hard drive to record for fraps. I never ever noticed any drop in quality while recording. You can see for yourself in the High resolution video. -
Fraps makes your games frames drop when you record because of the amount of frames you set it to record
Just try it, when you hit the record button on Fraps frames will drop down in the game, respectively to what you set it to record in the Fraps settings. After the 30 seconds time limit are over the frames pop back up.
...Just running it in the background will not slow down the game.
I run FRAPS on the same hard drive as my game installations. -
I record videos for my WoW guild all the time, and I write the recorded footage to a different HDD than both the game and the OS. The FPS WILL drop because of the high CPU as well as GPU usage required to record the videos in real time, and I only record at 30 FPS.
-
Yea, the frames will drop if you record. However just running the FPS in the background will not effect the game.
-
That was brilliant
-
great video ricky haven't seen you around lately.
-
sawheet!
also: what is all this desktop review.com stuff that just popped up? something new NBR is kicking in to? (wanted to ask a few days ago... meh) -

here is another video
I made this and previous video for one of my buddies. He lives in Montreal, so he asked me if I could somehow show him the performance and the looks of this laptop, because he said he might get one as well.
So I'm posting it here as well, it might be helpful to someone. -
Once again great video Ricky!
