I have a strange dead pixel. It is a single, white dead pixel near the middle of the screen. Now here is where things get wierd: The moment a screensaver comes on the dead pixel goes away (doesn't matter what the screensaver is, from a blank screen to windows energy, its gone), and then comes back instantly when I resume from the screensaver! No idea how this could be caused! Any ideas?

    Hi Achernar,
Which model do you have? If you have an m17, I know that there was a known issue with the OSD driver producing a fake dead pixel.

Yea, I've got two random pixels that just go white during loading scenes or videos. It's never both at the same time though, either one or the other o.0 Verrry random.

I'm assuming that they're installing the most current drivers for all new systems. If not, just keep this post in mind :).

GabeZ is correct, the systems ship with the fix, but if you perform a clean install of windows you will need to install the OSD, and then install the patch as well.
