    Hey

I am stuck on whether I should get the M17x or the M15x.

The specs I would get on the M17x are:

    Space Black :D
    T9600 or T9800 Core 2 Duo
GTX 260M SLI or Single Radeon HD 4870 (not sure there either)
    4GB DDR3 1066
    500GB HDD
    1920x1200
    Vista HP 64 bit

    M15x:
    Core i7 820QM
    GTX 260M
    4GB DDR3 1066
    500GB HDD
1600x900 (would 1920x1080 make the text too small to read?)
    Vista HP 64 bit

I will mostly play games on it but not really graphically intense ones like Crysis (WoW, a bit of C&C3, UT3, Oblivion, Fallout 3 among others) although I do like having them on high settings. I don't do stuff like video editing or the like, but I do like a bit of multi-tasking. I like the look of the new i7s but on the other hand, SLI would be nice too. Though I wish I could get an i7 in a M17x ;)
Any help would be appreciated! Thanks
P.S. Any other differences between the two that I should be aware of? :)

OK, it sounds like you would benefit more from the i7 proc than high-end dual GPUs. In your situation the M15x would be better suited for your needs.

Haha, yeah, it would be nice to have the best of both, and I think we will. Give it time, and I am almost certain there will be an i7 version of the M17x.

Yeah, that is what I was thinking. I will get the M15x then. Thanks lordqarlyn. How do you do the +rep thing I've read about?!
An i7 version of the M17x would be nice but it could be months away and I don't really want to wait and longer!

A feature comparison would be handy too!
