Hi, i recently got a studio xps 16 as a warranty replacement. The specs on it are:

    i7 620m
    rgbled screen
    4gig ram
    250gb hd
    1gb 4670

I have been having endless problems with this laptop and now dell are offering a m15x as a replacement, however the specs will remain the same, but i will lose the rgbled screen which i do really like. should i take the m15x as a replacement or keep my current laptop?

    Thanks

If you are having problems with the xps, why are you even considering keeping it? The m15x is a no brainer in my book. Laptop is built for speed and gaming. Just have Dell confirm the specs of the m15x before agreeing on it. If it comes with the 240mgt then I would demand the 260. It is much more powerful than the 240. Completely different class of cards. Hope it all works out for you. Each notebook may have some querks. I like alienware and I dont mind dealing with the issues to have a mobile gaming system. I have owned Dell and Alienwares in the past. I like alienware much much better.
    Take Care,

Good point for 260. I would definitely try to haggle on that. Most likely they won't even know what the difference is and since it sounds so similar you may actually get it. :)

M15x screen may not be rgb but it is still one of the nicest brightest screens out there imho.
