    Hello again everyone,

I have recently left my SB Hard Drive in the laptop most of the time, and have noticed some stutter and slowdown in games with it. The games are played from the main hard drive by the way.

The games runs even worse if I play them from the SB Hard Drive.

I have remedied the situation by simply removing the SB Hard Drive and just plugging it in when necessary. But do you guys think there is another solution for this? Can anyone with an m15x and a smart bay drive try this out as well?

Moo, damn you are quick... also do you know the RPM speed of your HDD and is the SB an external?

I'm running on x32 BIOS. The drive in the Smart Bay is a 320 gb 7,200 rpm drive. My main drive is also a 320 gb 7,200 rpm one.

I just don't get why the game slows down with the Smart Bay drive attached. The game immediately speeds back up when the drive is removed.

This does not happen when I have the smart bay battery or smart bay optical drive attached.

Yeah, I have tried x36 as well.

Here are my usual temps. Pic taken after gaming. I doubt it has anything to do with the temps though.

Just wondering if anyone with a smart bay hard drive can try it out as well?

I have disabled it on my main drive. But the smart bay drive has barely anything in it now. Thanks for trying to help man, really appreciate it ;)

    Anyone else experience this?

Another bump, guess I'm the only one experiencing this issue

Oh, and I just want to ask if anyone knows how to disable turbo memory in the m15x. I would like to try and disable it to check if it has anything to do with the stutter whenever the SB drive is plugged in ;)

you have TM? never knew... surefire way would be to remove the card... uninstalling the driver(s) might be a bit easier tho :) some notebooks have a BIOS setting for TM, but i don't think the m15x has that.

Still the same man, didn't really have any difference in temps with and without the wrap.

Thanks for that link, will try it out ^_^
