Just a few problems, the spreaders technically fit, but I had to use a small screw driver to force the clips *up* a little in order for them to snap in. As such, the two speaders on the ram modules contact each other when fully in. I'm not sure it's a *huge* problem, but it's something to be aware of. The bottom of the memory compartment is coated with an anti-ESD film, so contact on the bottom is fine. Since more area is taken up which would reduce airflow, Im going to have to monitor the temps somewhow with a cheap probe in the future to see if the two speaders contacting each other is going to affect the ram modules in that area from getting too hot. A simple solution might be to remove the cover alienware has on the compartment or even to put some tape in the area the spreaders meet each other.

Nice post, I simply remove the cover. I have it packed away in the box my M17x came in. I figured from the get go that cover couldn't be too good for the modules, concerning heat emission.
