Hi guys, for those who don't know me, which is many of you, my name is Robert and I was wondering how easy it would be to switch CPU's on a M17 from lets say a Core 2 P8400 to a Core 2 extreme qx9300. Thanks in advance, I am kind of new to computers

It might be wise to ground yourself when ur doing that as well.

It will void your warranty, but Im sure you already knew this.

If you want step by step directions, Im sure there is a post somewhere in the forum. :p

Be sure to test everything thoroughly.. Make sure you dont have sound/videolag ( like I do :( )

I'm also already advertising with my QX9300 to sell it (only on some dutch sites until now.. )

to give you an idea of what the m17 looks like inside and where the CPU is located have a look here http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=373496

make sure you uses new thermal paste on the cpu... and while your there you mayaswell change teh paste on the GPU's to reduce your temps and extend teh life of the cards.
