I ordered the Tactx Keyboard with my m14x since it was on sale for $19.99!

However I'm having issues with the spacebar not responding properly... so they sent me a replacement, and I'm having the same problem with this one.

Anyone else out there with a TactX keyboard find that the spacebar is not sensitive enough and sometimes you get words with no spaces while typing?

So, this issue only affects the external keyboard and the integrated keyboard works fine, correct?

It's a long shot recommendation, but try disabling selective suspend USB settings in your power profiles. Also, go into Device Manager and look for a Power Management tab in the properties for each USB Hub (generic and root) devices. Uncheck the "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" selection box.

I received a TactX keyboard this week with the same exact problem. My space bar is actually stiff to push down and it squeaks when I use it. I am discouraged that your replacement does the same thing. I'm not sure whether to have them replace it or get an entirely different keyboard.

It seems to be getting a little better with use. How about yours?

Well, I decided to get a replacement keyboard sent to me because although it was getting better, I was still having to fix missing spaces when I typed and I figured that given that the keyboard is pretty expensive it should not have such a simple problem. I am happy to say that on this new keyboard (which I received a few minutes ago) is much better and the space bar pushes in just as easily as the other keys! There is a huge difference between my two keyboards! I wanted to post this in case other people search for this issue.

Thanks kallyq. I am sure this will be useful information to others that experience the same issue.

darbsllim - did you get a replacement keyboard that works correctly?
