    Hey Guys

First off allow me to apologise to anyone i might have upset with my recent AW rants. I have intended no insult or to upset anyone. We are all intitled to our views and i Just want to apologise to anyone whom i might have rubbed the wrong way

That said just thought i would update peeps who been following my to'ing and throw'ing regarding quads

I have brought my qx9300 now from that shirely seller on eBay, they have 100% positive feedback and been watching it scale nicely

I got a GQNG E0 which i believe is pretty much the same to the retail ones, i ordered some AS5 so i think im ready to go

I have downloaded Zfactors bios which i will flash when it arrives as well.

    Anything else i am missing?

    Eek im excitied again

    Pete

There's a thermal pad on the Northbridge, which might get messed up when you remove the CPU heatsink.

Speaking of that, what are the best thermal pads, Dondadah?

if you are using a quad core i highly suggest you to copper mod it.

i had a pad on there with my stuttering stop for about a week but it got smashed and then it started happening again. witht the copper it is set firmly into place.

if i cant find an easy local source for the copper, can you just use thermal paste of do you need the pad for the north bridge, if so i had better order a couple as spares

that's fine and when you cut it out just make it alittle bigger then the Northbridge.

That new compound from Innovative Cooling seems to be pretty effective in replacing thermal pads due to how thick it is.

I replaced all the thermal pads in my 4870 cards in the W90 and it has worked perfectly, its very thick and its none conductive and it has better thermal transfer rates than a pure sheet of copper.

Easy to install, and cheaper :D

    Pretty much cant go wrong.

One tube of ICD24 just barely managed to let me do my CPU, and both GPU

If the cpu and Northbrige are flush with the heatsink all you need is Thermal paste like Artic Silver 5. If there a Gap of any kind Copper might help in filling in the gap. But both sides of the copper should have some thermal compound.
