The best AW has offered me is store credit. I've already learned my lesson on the quality of their systems and customer service (burn me once...). meh.

    *Update*

Got my m15x back today after about a week and a half:

    Summary of Problems:
-monitor/hinge breaking resulting in separation between black frame and monitor casing (left side only). Translucent plastic bits falling out.
    -paint coming off 'WASD' keys.

    Repair observations:
-still a very slight gap between the black frame and silver casing
-however, repair seems solid. VERY little creaking sounds now (had good amount of creaking previously). Hinges seemed to be tightened as well.
-keyboard looks like it was totally replaced. Not just the few keys. little to no keyboard flex near the arrow keys (vs lots before)

So far, so good. Has anyone that had a repair done NOT had it break again? I'm really really really hoping this holds up.

Thanx to Alienware James for helping move the process quickly.
