    ...is now standard at $1599 with a wuxga screen...
    Would someone with a 2000-500$ budget consider the m9700 worth getting? I mean how detrimental to gaming performance is the single core Turion vs. the Core 2 Duo? Would the m9700 with SLi actually be a worthy competitor $ for $ to the Clevo M570RU?

    Dual Go7900GS cards paired with a Turion would definitely match a Go7950GTX paired with a Core 2 Duo. The peak performance would probably be similar but I think the Alienware would be able to hold a more stable framerate in games.

    That's a really good price.

    I think im going to order it in a week or 2 :D

    It will last me long enuf to save for my next purchase: some fully-fledged Santa Rosa dx10 powerhouse probably.

    Besides that, the m9700 is sure gonna be a nice upgrade from my a64 3000+ with Radeon 9800pro :yes:
