Just ordered my Alienware M17X through Best Buy this morning. 2.0 Quad, 2 260ms and a 1440x900 screen.

    Heres the link: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage...nware&lp=2&type=product&cp=1&id=1218095797767

Goes to $2,252.40 with shipping and tax included. Ordered today and arriving between 08/03/2009 - 08/12/2009.

Has anyone else ordered one through Best Buy? Were you satisfied? How long did it take for you to receive it?

You could have gotten the same setup with SLI 280's for the same price :(

    Well, not exactly sleey0

The standard M17X w/ 2 280ms is $2,399, that's 300 more dollars than this one. If I wanted the Quad as well, we'd be looking at $2,649 not including tax or shipping.

    Whoa there sleey0,

I posted that after I saw your first post, and then you all started a conversation without me. Relax.

Seems like a good deal. The upgrade in the monitor is nice, the 280ms are also excellent.

I had set a $2,000 dollar budget for my next computer and going over it was difficult. I had to put my foot down somewhere.

But in any case, has anyone ordered through Best Buy for the M17X?

" I'm BACK! Comments on new config welcome :)
Ok. So the Red finally appeared and I can't hold out any longer

I found an evalue code and got the following specs:

    -- System Color --
-- Nebula Red - Special Edition – Anodized Aluminum
    -- [224-5966]
    -----------------------
    -- Processor --
    -- Intel® Core™2 Quad Q9000 2.0GHz (6MB Cache, 1066MHz FSB)
    -- [317-0820]
    -----------------------
    -- Memory --
    -- 4GB Dual Channel DDR3 at 1066MHz
    -- [317-0856]
    -----------------------
    -- LCD --
    -- 17-inch WideUXGA 1920x1200 (1200p)
    -- [320-8140]
    -----------------------
    -- Video Card --
    -- Dual NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 280M, 2GB – SLI® Enabled
    -- [320-0762]
    -----------------------
    -- Hard Drive --
    -- 320GB - 2x 160GB 7,200RPM - RAID 0
    -- [341-0009]
    -----------------------

    Everything else standard (warranty, etc).

Got it for a grand Total of: $2,557.41 w/ NBD shipping.

So, was this a pretty good deal? I am probably going to sell the Q9000 for something else. I figure I can get about $300 for it, right?

    Any comments welcome...

And now, I wait AGAIN! lol

I was just curious to see who had ordered an M17X through Best Buy, how long it took to receive, their impressions etc.

It took a different turn though.

    Oh well.

This thread has gone way OT and its closed. OP, if you want to find out who ordered from Best Buy, create a new thread. The rest of you, I suggest you familiarize yourself with the forum rules as well as the ignore system(see usercp) s, before infractions are handed out to all parties involved.

Yes and I deleted a ton of your worthless posts in this thread. And if I see any more insults and dumb posts infractions will be given out.
