Well, the processor can still be upgraded to the x9000

RAM can be upgraded to 8 Gb, and your hard disk can be upgraded to a 500gb 7,200 rpm or an SSD.

You can upgrade your LCD to a higher resolution one, and your DVD drive to a Blu Ray drive

Let's just say your laptop is fine as is, don't bother upgrading as the cost would not be worth it ;)

I'd be careful about the m15x mj, as lots of people have had problems with them, if it was me id look to purchase a 15in from another vendor.

Yeah, I'd stay away from the current m15x.

    Maybe look into a Sager/Clevo?

Your warranty is worth more than a few upgrades.

Just to clarify, you can upgrade the Ram and Hard drive without voiding the warentee. The cpu and gpu you can install yourself without voiding the warantee as long as you buy it from alienware, at their ridiculous prices.

As for upgrading, I'm with everyone else. Not worth upgrading anything really. Was looking into 8GB Ram myself, cheapest I could find was about £250.

Your best of waiting for the m15x replacement, rather than upgrading. But just to give it a good name, ive had mine for a year and had no major problems :).

    DONT BUY THE M15x YET!!!!
The refresh should be coming out soon.
This model will be completely obsolete.
The new ones base specs will probably be better
    than this ones max specs...
