    RE: Mr. Heiland
    Case # 9011599

    Dear Mr. Blessing,

This is to inform you that Alienware Corp has received your letter regarding the complaint from Mr. Heiland. Thank you for making us aware of his concerns.

Unfortunately, a refund is not an option due to the fact that Mr. Heiland received the unit on 12/11/2007 and is outside of our 30-day money back guarantee.

To view a copy of the aforementioned document, please click on the following link:
    http://www.alienware.com/sub_pages/warranty.aspx

Mr. Heiland's system arrived at our repair facilities on 1/7/2008.

On 1/7/2008 Mr. Heiland informed Alienware that he no longer wishes to cancel his system.

Please advise Mr. Heiland to contact our Customer Service Department at 1.866.287.6727 should he have any questions or concerns.

Thank you for your assistance in this matter, and again, we truly regret any inconvenience or frustration that this issue has caused. We value Mr. Heiland as our customer, and his satisfaction is very important to us.

Feel free to contact us if we can be of further assistance on this matter.

I thought you guys should realize they have done nothing but con me into this and this report is how they responded to the BBB. They have lied to the bbb and at this point I will probably have to contact a lawyer because the unit has been in their hands since 12/20/2007. Declined a refund, what a load of BS, of course I declined a refund that included a 15% restocking fee for a defective unit.

That is unbelievably crappy. I hope you get your refund before you hire that lawyer, call up Alienware and threaten to take legal action, I'm sure they will do something to get that off their backs.

That sucks. I've bought 4 AW laptops and 1 desktop and they all have performed beyond expectations. And my future purchases will be with AW

Actually fanatic, his case was a "miss", yours was a "hit".

Mine has been running flawlessly as well. I always build my own desktop PCs, but I will probably buy another AW laptop in the future.

My m9700 is a nice machine, but they bungled my m9750 order so badly that I may never buy from them again. At least you got a response to your letter, they ignored mine.

Sucks man. I feel bad for yah. I had the same issue with Newegg and ended up suing them. It was a desktop. They called me in for a settlement 6 months later.

I had an issue like this a couple of years ago with my system. On a whim, I decided to try some blatant emaill addresses like ceo@, president@, etc. The others bounced, but at that time, [email protected] went straight to the CEO :) I got a response within 36 hours from his assistant, and the issue was soon resolved. You might try that address to see if it's still active, or if you can achieve any resolution before having to spend money on legal counsel.

Think twice before buying any expensive machine from any vendor ... because these things can happen anywhere.

Perhaps, tatums, but, just in fairness, tell her you want a new sport machine in the near future in return for your purchase of her new laptop. [IMG] [IMG]

BTW, Happy Birthday to Baby tatums!

Wait....you received your notebook on 12/11/07...and it was back in their possession by 1/7/08....last time I counted, that was within 30 days, unless I'm missing something here. I've been unsatisfied on a desktop (I ended up going with the m9750), returned it within 2 weeks (had to pay $26 shipping, but whatever), and they refunded me with no restocking fee. WTF???

I hope they get sued so they'll actually make an effort to improve their customer service stuffs... I mean if people spend so much on their laptops/computers I think the people deserve to have the thing actually work. I mean the thing should come with like free fastest speed possible shipping or something if you ask me. Alienware always boasts about their great support and better quality but when I look on the forums it's like 1/3 of the threads are problems or something... the only thing I see better currently is the cool casing... but that's subject to opinion too

I didn't pay lawyers for anything. I just opened up a small claims case and sent the suit to them. They would have to send a representative to CT where I live and that would cost more then just giving me the money. So they just gave me what I wanted.
