    Well my HD on my m1330 decided to give out... im going to fix it because my mom wants it. I need a new laptop ill be graduating with a chemistry bs and i love my xps m1330 im not sure if i want to go as small as the m11x or if i want to stay with the xps line and go m1340...

    Anyone have any opinions??

    Any coupon codes or deals on the m11x i should be aware of??? my mom is a teacher i think there might be deals through her school...

    the questions you should ask yourself are :

    1.what is your budget?
    2.do you gaming alot while while traveling?
    3.do you want playing games on 11 inch screen?
    4.are you alienware minded?
    5.what do you use your laptop for?

    i know xps1330,i don't have it,but i have vaio sz which almost identical with m1330 and it serve me well for daily use :D

    as for coupon or codes i don't know since i live outside US

    Even if you don't want to game on an 11in screen, you can always hook up to an external monitor. The 11in screen would be good for travel or down time if you want to work or game.

    1. Budget is about 1k
    2. Dont do alot of traveling besides to and from class... Usta game but it was ultima online if any of you know what that is... I played wow for a bit but didnt like the amount of time required... So i play mw2 on xbox now...
    3. Im not sure how big of a size decrease it is from my current 13.3
    4. I loved my sentia but i had problems with it caused by bad ram... ended up selling it for cash to buy my m1330 which has been my favorite laptop so far... i get 5.5 hours on the 9cell. picked it up for $700 used on craigs list. screen had some bright white spots... led burn in apparently... dell replaced the screen... and then more recently my warranty was about up so i sent it in for a new mother board and gpu.
    5. Lap top is primarily used for school work and looking on random auto forums... while listening to music so as long as it can handle that its fine... thats basically all it needs to do but it needs to serve as my only computer... my m1330 did a great job..

    With that being said im stuck between the m11x and the newer m1340 which i can get refurbished on ebay for $700 with the 9500M (only way id get it) my current had the 8400M i dont do integrated crap. then id just pay for a warranty extension.... I tend to use them up :)
