    Hello everyone. I have been lurking here for a while and reading up on the m17x. I just got one from microcenter for 2299 and all I can say is wow! I tested crysis at full resolution and very high settings and I got a average of 32 fps. I really wasn't expecting that from the dual 260m but I can't wait to see what overclocking will bring. People say alienware are overpriced but for the parts and build quality, I would say it's worth it. Plus it seems that they encourage things like opening up the computer and overclocking. I look forward to meeting everyone here and I will be digging through the forum to find the answers to all the questions that I have.

    yeah welcome pal. I own the lesser M17 and I also believe these machines are worth the money.
    The M17X looks an awesome machine with some real firepower to match and upgrade capabilities.
    Im just glad DELL are selling it now and not Alienware itself.....they have been horrid to work with over here in Europe......its been a real nightmare.

    I think the future is bright for us Alienware fans now that Dell are running things.

    Welcome aboard! I love my M17x...well ok I don't love it like I love my wife, but I enjoy using it better than any other computer I have ever owned..how is that? :D

    I have owned 2 dell laptops and this is my third alienware laptop. I have had nothing but good experiences from them all. Anytime I have had a problem with any of them, both Dell and Alienware support have been excellent.
